Circo Raluy

El Sábado pasado aprovechando el buen tiempo que hacía en Barcelona, quede con un amigo para dibujar por la zona de Colon, mientras buscábamos un tema para dibujar, dada la cantidad de posibilidades que la zona ofrece, nos llamo la atención unas viejas carrozas que descansan en el Paseo Marítimo para celebrar su 100 Aniversario, nos acercamos a ellas y comenzamos a dibujar.

Se trataba del Circo Raluy, una de esas joyas del mundo del espectáculo que su simple presencia debe considerarse como un acto cultural imprescindible. Este circo empieza a ser diferente por sus propias estructuras de transporte, los carromatos donde viven y viajan los artistas están historiados, son un auténtico, real y magnífico Museo del Circo. En esas maderas hay una historia del Circo.

Entrar en su mundo es entrar en otra relación espacio-tiempo. Se podría hablar de melancolía, de romanticismo, pero solo se trata del único Circo Museo que existe, con sus caravanas de madera de principios del siglo XX, al igual que esos camiones y remolques que las transportan, que no pueden superar los 30 o 40 km/h, haciendo de sus desplazamientos un autentico peregrinaje, que lo lleva a realizar cada vez rutas más cortas.

Casa Asia

Hace unos días decidí ir a dibujar una panorámica desde la azotea de la Casa Asia. Después de un buen desayuno en la cafetería La LLuna del barrio de Gracia nos dirigimos con mucha ilusión a realizar nuestro reto, teníamos unas dos horas de tiempo hasta nuestra próxima cita con la otra parte del grupo de dibujo que estaba en el MNAC.
Nada mas llegar nos dedicamos a mirar por las distintas plantas del edificio para acabar llegando a la azotea, una vez escogido el mejor punto de vista, preparado los cuadernos, y decidida la técnica que iba a utilizar comienzo a dibujar. Al final tenia la Casa de les Puntxes que la dejaba para parte del reto final, de repente, tormentón, corriendo a recoger todo y a dibujar al interior, aun así  tome apuntes de cuatro detalles y me marche convencido que volveré a por la panorámica.

Montjuic Revival

El antiguo circuito urbano de la montaña de Montjuïc durante 48 horas ha vuelto a revivir su magia tras cuatro décadas de inactividad gracias al 'Barcelona Montjuïc Revival', una reunión de casi tres centenares de vehículos clásicos, entre motos y coches de carreras.

La verdad es que tienes tantos estímulos para dibujar, que no sabes por cual empezar, además ha hecho muy buen tiempo, lo que ha resultado muy agradable para dibujar al aire libre.

Mesopotamia - Antes del diluvio

El sábado pasado 24 horas después de inaugurada la exposición nos plantamos unos cuantos en el Caixa Forum para visitar la Exposición Mesopotamia, antes del diluvio, empezamos durante una hora más o menos a dibujar a medida que las piezas nos llamaban la atención, cuando nos fuimos realmente no habíamos visto prácticamente la exposición, lo que me ha dejado con unas ganas tremendas de volver a ir con más tiempo para continuar dibujando.
Al llegar nos encontramos con obras de arte y de artesanía, joyas y objetos rituales, textos y símbolos que muestran la forma de entender el mundo y la sociedad en el delta del Tigris y el Éufrates: el origen divino de la ciudad, el enfrentamiento entre los dioses primigenios y las nuevas deidades, la creación de la humanidad, el mito del Diluvio, la reconstrucción de la Tierra y el nacimiento de la cultura como consecuencia de un pacto entre dioses y hombres. Llegas a entender la gran influencia que las ciudades mesopotámicas ejercieron en el mundo griego y judeocristiano, condicionando de modo decisivo el surgimiento de la civilización europea.

Mientras dormias

El sueño es uno de los aspectos más misteriosos del funcionamiento del cerebro. Como expresaba Bécquer de forma poética, cada día entramos en un mundo extraño, y pasamos en ese mundo un tercio de nuestra vida, y sin embargo conocemos muy poco en qué consiste o porqué se produce. 

Siempre se había pensado que el sueño era un estado de inactividad en el que el cerebro dejaba de funcionar, posiblemente con la intención de descansar o recuperarse. Sin embargo hoy en dia se sabe que lejos de estar inactivo, el cerebro sigue intensamente activo, por lo menos durante parte del sueño.

Puedo asegurar que mientras los dibujaba dormian placidamente.
